In the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, Kilari Venkata Roshaiah of YSRCP won in this constituency beating Dhulipalla Narendra Kumar of TDP by a margin of 1,112 votes which was 0.58% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Dhulipalla Narendra Kumar of TDP was the winner in this seat beating Ravi Venkata Ramana of YSRCP by a margin of 7,761 votes which was 4.4% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Dhulipalla Narendra Kumar of TDP won this seat defeating Marupudi Leeladhara Rao of INC by a margin of 2,168 votes which was 1.37% of the total votes polled for the seat.
