In the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, Tjr Sudhakar Babu of YSRCP won in this constituency beating Vijay Kumar Bn of TDP by a margin of 9,078 votes which was 5.04% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Audimulapu Suresh of YSRCP was the winner in this seat beating Vijay Kumar B N of TDP by a margin of 1,276 votes which was 0.76% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, B N Vijay Kumar of INC won this seat defeating Anjaiah Jala of CPM by a margin of 9,531 votes which was 6.57% of the total votes polled for the seat.
