In the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, K Pedda Reddy of YSRCP won in this constituency beating Ashmit Reddyjc of TDP by a margin of 7,511 votes which was 4% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Prabhakar Reddy J C of TDP was the winner in this seat beating V R Rami Reddy of YSRCP by a margin of 22,172 votes which was 12.32% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Diwakar Reddy J C of INC won this seat defeating Peram Nagi Reddy of TDP by a margin of 6,955 votes which was 4.63% of the total votes polled for the seat.
