In the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, Dadisetti Raja of YSRCP won in this constituency beating Yanamala Krishnudu of TDP by a margin of 24,016 votes which was 13.54% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Dadisetti Raja of YSRCP was the winner in this seat beating Yanamala Krishnudu of TDP by a margin of 18,573 votes which was 11.61% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Venkata Krishnam Raju Sriraja Vatsavayi of INC won this seat defeating Yanamala Ramakrishnudu of TDP by a margin of 8,510 votes which was 6.02% of the total votes polled for the seat.
