In the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, Ganesh Kumar Vasupalli of TDP won in this constituency beating Dronamraju Srinivasa Rao of YSRCP by a margin of 3,729 votes which was 2.97% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar of TDP was the winner in this seat beating Kola Guruvulu of YSRCP by a margin of 18,316 votes which was 14.13% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Dronamraju Srinivasa Rao of INC won this seat defeating Kola Guruvulu of PRAP by a margin of 341 votes which was 0.26% of the total votes polled for the seat.
