In the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, Kunduru Nagarjuna Reddy of YSRCP won in this constituency beating Kandula Narayana Reddy of TDP by a margin of 18,667 votes which was 10.5% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Janke Venkata Reddy of YSRCP was the winner in this seat beating Kandula Narayana Reddy of TDP by a margin of 9,802 votes which was 6.04% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Kandula Narayana Reddy of TDP won this seat defeating Kunduru Pedda Kondareddy of INC by a margin of 9,054 votes which was 6.35% of the total votes polled for the seat.
