In 2015, Abdul Bari Siddiqui of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Mishri Lal Yadav of BJP by a margin of 13460 votes which was 9.64% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Abdul Bari Siddiqui of RJD won this seat defeating Prabhakar Choudhary of JDU by a margin of 4989 votes which was 4.9% of the total votes polled for the seat.
