In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Amrendra Pratap Singh of BJP won in this constituency beating Quyamuddin Ansari of CPIMLL by a margin of 3002 votes which was 1.88% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Mohammad Nawaz Alam of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Amrendra Pratap Singh of BJP by a margin of 666 votes which was 0.43% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Amrendra Pratap Singh of BJP won this seat defeating Shree Kumar Singh of LJP by a margin of 18940 votes which was 16.69% of the total votes polled for the seat.
