In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Binay Kumar Choudhary of JDU won in this constituency beating Mithilesh Kumar Choudhary of INC by a margin of 6590 votes which was 4.03% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Sunil Choudhary of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Gopal Jee Thakur of BJP by a margin of 26443 votes which was 17.83% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Gopal Jee Thakur of BJP won this seat defeating Hare Krishna Yadav of RJD by a margin of 13957 votes which was 13.02% of the total votes polled for the seat.
