In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Ram Bali Singh Yadav of CPIMLL won in this constituency beating Rahul Kumar of JDU by a margin of 17333 votes which was 11.38% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Krishan Nandan Prasad Verma of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Rahul Kumar of HAMS by a margin of 21625 votes which was 15.3% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Rahul Kumar of JDU won this seat defeating Jagdish Prasad of LJP by a margin of 14276 votes which was 13.71% of the total votes polled for the seat.
