In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Jibesh Kumar of BJP won in this constituency beating Maskoor Ahmad Usmani of INC by a margin of 21796 votes which was 12.89% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Jibesh Kumar of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Rishi Mishra of JDU by a margin of 4620 votes which was 3.1% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Vijay Kumar Mishra of BJP won this seat defeating Ramniwas Pd. of RJD by a margin of 16942 votes which was 15.69% of the total votes polled for the seat.
