In 2015, Kedar Prasad Gupta of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Manoj Kumar Singh of JDU by a margin of 11570 votes which was 6.69% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Manoj Kumar Singh of JDU won this seat defeating Bijendra Chaudhary of LJP by a margin of 1570 votes which was 1.21% of the total votes polled for the seat.
