In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Rashmi Varma of BJP won in this constituency beating Vinay Varma of INC by a margin of 21134 votes which was 12.84% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Vinay Varma of INC was the winner in this seat beating Renu Devi of BJP by a margin of 16061 votes which was 10.46% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Satish Chandra Dubey of BJP won this seat defeating Alok Prasad Verma of INC by a margin of 20228 votes which was 17.1% of the total votes polled for the seat.
