In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Anita Devi of RJD won in this constituency beating Nagendra Chandrawansi of JDU by a margin of 17672 votes which was 11.88% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Anita Devi of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Rameshwar Prasad of BJP by a margin of 22998 votes which was 16.31% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Rameshwar Prasad of BJP won this seat defeating Kanti Singh of RJD by a margin of 11723 votes which was 10.05% of the total votes polled for the seat.
