In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Gopal Ravidas of CPIMLL won in this constituency beating Arun Manjhi of JDU by a margin of 13857 votes which was 6.63% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Shyam Rajak of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Rajeshwar Manjhi of HAMS by a margin of 45713 votes which was 24.18% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Shyam Rajak of JDU won this seat defeating Uday Kumar of RJD by a margin of 21180 votes which was 15.64% of the total votes polled for the seat.
