In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Vijay Kumar of RJD won in this constituency beating Randhir Kumar Soni of JDU by a margin of 6116 votes which was 4.23% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Randhir Kumar Soni of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Naresh Saw of HAMS by a margin of 13101 votes which was 10.31% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Randhir Kumar Soni of JDU won this seat defeating Sunila Devi of INC by a margin of 7342 votes which was 7.12% of the total votes polled for the seat.
