In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Anil Kumar of HAMS won in this constituency beating Sumant Kumar of INC by a margin of 2630 votes which was 1.41% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Abhay Kumar Sinha of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Anil Kumar of HAMS by a margin of 31813 votes which was 18.84% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Dr Anil Kumar of JDU won this seat defeating Bagi Kumar Verma of RJD by a margin of 18541 votes which was 14.06% of the total votes polled for the seat.
