In the past three Assembly elections, the BJP has maintained control over five constituencies: Mungeli, Beltara, Raipur City South, Bindranawagarh and Vaishali Nagar. Meanwhile, the INC has secured dominance in eight constituencies: Lundra, Ambikapur, Sitapur, Kharsia, Pali-Tanakhar, Khujji, Mohala-Manpur and Konta.
