Chirayinkeezhu Assembly constituency comprises the following areas of Thiruvananthapuram district in the Travancore region of Kerala: Anjuthengu, Azhoor, Chirayinkeezhu, Kadakkavoor, Kizhuvilam and Mudakkal Panchayats in Chirayinkeezh Taluk and Kadinamkulam and Mangalapuram Panchayats in Thiruvananthapuram Taluk.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 117 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Chirayinkeezhu is: 8°38'54.2"N 76°49'39.4"E.

In the 2021 Kerala Assembly elections, V Sasi of CPI won in this constituency beating B S Anoop of INC by a margin of 14017 votes which was 9.71% of the total votes cast. In 2016, V. Sasi of CPI was the winner in this seat beating K.S.Ajith Kumar of INC by a margin of 14322 votes which was 10.35% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, V.Sasi of CPI won this seat defeating K.Vidyadharan of INC by a margin of 12225 votes which was 10.86% of the total votes polled for the seat.
