Malampuzha Assembly constituency comprises the following areas of Palakkad district in the Cochin region of Kerala: Akathethara, Elappully, Kodumba, Malampuzha, Marutharoad, Mundur, Pudussery and Puduppariyaram Panchayats in Palakkad Taluk.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 483 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Malampuzha is: 10°50'05.6"N 76°41'46.7"E.

In the 2021 Kerala Assembly elections, A Prabhakaran of CPIM won in this constituency beating Krishnakumar C of BJP by a margin of 25734 votes which was 15.83% of the total votes cast. In 2016, V S Achuthanandan E of CPIM was the winner in this seat beating C.Krishnakumar of BJP by a margin of 27142 votes which was 16.99% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, V.S.Achuthanandan. of CPIM won this seat defeating Lathika Subhash of INC by a margin of 23440 votes which was 17.2% of the total votes polled for the seat.
