Perinthalmanna Assembly constituency comprises the following areas of Malappuram district in the Malabar region of Kerala: Perinthalmanna Municipality and Aliparamba, Elamkulam, Pulamanthole, Thazhekode, Vettathur and Melattur Panchayats in Perinthalmanna Taluk.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 220 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Perinthalmanna is: 10°57'49.3"N 76°15'37.4"E.

According to data released by the Election Commission of India, In 2021, this seat registered a turnout of 74.73%, while it was 77.67% in 2016, and 81.58% in 2011.

In the 2021 Kerala Assembly elections, Najeeb Kanthapuram of IUML won in this constituency beating K P M Musthafa S/O Muhammedali Haji of IND by a margin of 38 votes which was 0.02% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Manjalamkuzhi Ali of IUML was the winner in this seat beating V.Sasikumar of CPIM by a margin of 579 votes which was 0.38% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Manjalamkuzhi Ali of MUL won this seat defeating Sasikumar of CPIM by a margin of 9589 votes which was 7.17% of the total votes polled for the seat.
