Extent

Perumbavoor Assembly constituency comprises the following areas of Ernakulam district in the Cochin region of Kerala: Perumbavoor Municipality and Asamannoor, Koovappady, Mudakkuzha, Okkal, Rayamangalam, Vengola and Vengoor Panchayats in Kunnathunad Taluk.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 234 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Perumbavoor is: 10°07'32.5"N 76°31'06.6"E.

According to data released by the Election Commission of India, In 2021, this seat registered a turnout of 76.33%, while it was 84.26% in 2016, and 81.42% in 2011.

In the 2021 Kerala Assembly elections, Adv Eldose P Kunnapillil of INC won in this constituency beating Babu Joseph Perumbavoor of KCM by a margin of 2899 votes which was 2.02% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Adv. Eldhose Kunnappilly of INC was the winner in this seat beating Saju Paul of CPIM by a margin of 7088 votes which was 4.86% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Saju Paul of CPIM won this seat defeating Adv.Jaison Joseph of INC by a margin of 3382 votes which was 2.69% of the total votes polled for the seat.
