Thrithala Assembly constituency comprises the following areas of Palakkad district in the Malabar region of Kerala: Anakkara, Chalissery, Kappur, Nagalassery, Parudur, Pattithara, Thirumittacode and Thrithala Panchayats in Ottappalam Taluk.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 196 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Thrithala is: 10°47'00.2"N 76°06'12.6"E.

According to data released by the Election Commission of India, In 2021, this seat registered a turnout of 77.04%, while it was 78.9% in 2016, and 78.46% in 2011.

In the 2021 Kerala Assembly elections, M B Rajesh of CPIM won in this constituency beating V T Balram of INC by a margin of 3016 votes which was 1.99% of the total votes cast. In 2016, V.T. Balram of INC was the winner in this seat beating Subaida Ishac of CPIM by a margin of 10547 votes which was 7.48% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Adv.V.T. Balram of INC won this seat defeating Mammikutty. P of CPIM by a margin of 3197 votes which was 2.62% of the total votes polled for the seat.
