Tirur Assembly constituency comprises the following areas of Malappuram district in the Malabar region of Kerala: Tirur Municipality and Athavanad, Kalpakancheri, Thalakkad, Thirunavaya, Valavannur and Vettom Panchayats in Tirur Taluk.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 125 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Tirur is: 10°54'26.6"N 75°58'01.9"E.

Voter turnout

According to data released by the Election Commission of India, In 2021, this seat registered a turnout of 73.26%, while it was 76.38% in 2016, and 75.98% in 2011.

In the 2021 Kerala Assembly elections, Kurukkoli Moideen of IUML won in this constituency beating Adv Gafoor P Lillis of CPIM by a margin of 7214 votes which was 4.24% of the total votes cast. In 2016, C. Mammutty (E) of IUML was the winner in this seat beating Gafoor P Lillis of NSC by a margin of 7061 votes which was 4.5% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, C Mammootty of MUL won this seat defeating P P Abdullakutty of CPIM by a margin of 23566 votes which was 18.65% of the total votes polled for the seat.
