In 2013, Hitendra Sinh Dhyan Sinh Solanki of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Sachin Birla of IND by a margin of 5,630 votes which was 3.65% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 43.82% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Hitendra Singh Dhyan Singh Solanki of BJP won this seat beating Tarachand Shivaji Patel of INC by a margin of 16,474 votes which was 15.42% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 51.92% in the seat.

Badwaha comprises of the following areas of Khargone district in the Malwa Tribal region of Madhya Pradesh: Sanawad RI Circle of Badwah Tehsil, 8 Kaatkoot, 9 Rajana, 10 Badel, 11 Jagatpura, 18 Siralay, 19 Barwah, 20 Baphalgaon, 21 Kithud, 22 Ratanpur and 26 Naavghatkhedi Patwari Circles of Badwah RI Circle of Badwah Tehsil, Badwah (M) Municipality and Sanawad (M) Municipality.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 1,182 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Badwaha is: 22°15'48.6"N 76°00'12.6"E.
