Location

The geographic coordinates of Banda is: 24°08'21.1"N 78°57'33.5"E. Banda shares its borders with five other Assembly constituencies in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The other Madhya Pradesh Assembly constituencies adjacent to Banda are: Khurai, Naryawali, Rehli, Pathariya, Malhara. This constituency shares an inter-state border with: Lalitpur district of Uttar Pradesh.

Election results

In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Tarbar Singh (Bantu Bhaiya) of INC won in this seat defeating Harvansh Singh Rathore (Sukku Bhaiya) of BJP by a margin of 24,164 which was 14.86% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 51.95% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Harvansh (Sukku Bhaiya) of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Narayan Prajapati of INC by a margin of 17,880 votes which was 12.13% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 44.91% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Naryan Prasad of INC won this seat beating Ram Rakshpal Singh of BJP by a margin of 1,925 votes which was 1.7% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 28.54% in the seat.
