In 2013, Gyan Singh of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Pyrelal Baiga of INC by a margin of 18,645 votes which was 12.98% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 46.57% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Gyan Singh of BJP won this seat beating Savitri Singh Dhurve of INC by a margin of 15,303 votes which was 14.39% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 41.14% in the seat.
