In 2013, Kalusingh Thakur of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Pachilal Meda of INC by a margin of 7,573 votes which was 5.74% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 49.3% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Panchilal Meda of INC won this seat beating Jagdish Muvel of BJP by a margin of 6,654 votes which was 7.09% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 46.55% in the seat.

Assembly constituency no.200. Dharampuri comprises of the following areas of Dhar district in the Malwa Tribal region of Madhya Pradesh: Dharampuri Tehsil, Nalcha RI Circle of Dhar Tehsil and Mandav (Nagar Panchayat) NPT.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 875 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Dharampuri is: 22°21'28.8"N 75°25'17.4"E.
