In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Suneeta Patel of INC won in this seat defeating Gautam Singh Patel of BJP by a margin of 15,363 which was 9.83% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 50.75% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Govind Singh Patel of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Suneeta Patel of IND by a margin of 25,313 votes which was 18.15% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 43.88% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Smt Sadhana Sthapak of INC won this seat beating Govind Singh Patel of BJP by a margin of 6,103 votes which was 5.56% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 32.71% in the seat.
