Location

The geographic coordinates of Gwalior is: 26°13'55.2"N 78°08'52.8"E. Gwalior shares its borders with three other Assembly constituencies in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The other Madhya Pradesh Assembly constituencies adjacent to Gwalior are: Gwalior Rural, Gwalior East, Gwalior South. This constituency shares an inter-state border with: no other state.

Election results

In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Pradhuman Singh Tomar of INC won in this seat defeating Jai Bhan Singh Pawaiya of BJP by a margin of 21,044 which was 11.98% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 52.4% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Jai Bhan Singh Pawaiya of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Pradhuman Singh Tomar of INC by a margin of 15,561 votes which was 9.94% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 47.76% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Pradyumn Singh Tomar of INC won this seat beating Jai Bhan Singh of BJP by a margin of 2,090 votes which was 2.06% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 37.82% in the seat.
