Location

The geographic coordinates of Indore-3 is: 22°41'26.5"N 75°51'32.8"E. Indore-3 shares its borders with five other Assembly constituencies in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The other Madhya Pradesh Assembly constituencies adjacent to Indore-3 are: Rau, Indore-4, Indore-1, Indore-2, Indore-5. This constituency shares an inter-state border with: no other state.

Election results

In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Akash Kailash Vijaywargiya of BJP won in this seat defeating Ashwin Joshi of INC by a margin of 5,751 which was 4.37% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 50.96% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Miss Usha Thakur (Didi) of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Ashwin Joshi of INC by a margin of 13,318 votes which was 10.43% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 53.51% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Ashwin Joshi of INC won this seat beating Gopikrishna Nema of BJP by a margin of 402 votes which was 0.42% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 47.01% in the seat.
