    In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Vinay Saxena of INC won in this seat defeating Sharad Jain of BJP by a margin of 578 which was 0.41% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 35.23% in 2018 in this seat.

    In 2013, Sharad Jain Advocate of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Naresh Saraf of INC by a margin of 33,563 votes which was 25.92% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 57.66% in the seat.
