In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Devendra Verma of BJP won in this seat defeating Kundan Malviya of INC by a margin of 19,137 which was 11.29% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 45.48% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Devendra Verma of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Mohan Dhakase of INC by a margin of 34,071 votes which was 22.54% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 58.92% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Devendra Verma of BJP won this seat beating Dinesh Sonker of INC by a margin of 25,868 votes which was 25.44% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 55.55% in the seat.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 817 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Khandwa is: 21°54'43.2"N 76°24'30.6"E.
