In 2013, Kunwar Hajarilal Dangi of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Priyavrat Singh of INC by a margin of 11,479 votes which was 7.08% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 51.03% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Priyavrat Singh of INC won this seat beating Jagannath Singh of BJP by a margin of 13,627 votes which was 10% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 40.3% in the seat.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 1,169 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Khilchipur is: 24°02'54.6"N 76°23'11.4"E.
