Location

The geographic coordinates of Malhara is: 24°25'21.0"N 79°15'25.2"E. Malhara shares its borders with six other Assembly constituencies in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The other Madhya Pradesh Assembly constituencies adjacent to Malhara are: Banda, Tikamgarh, Khargapur, Bijawar, Pathariya, Hatta. This constituency shares an inter-state border with: Lalitpur district of Uttar Pradesh.

Election results

In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Kunwar Pradyumna Singh Lodhi (Munna Bhaiya) of INC won in this seat defeating Lalita Yadav of BJP by a margin of 15,779 which was 10.61% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 45.16% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Ahir Rekha Yadav of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Tilak Singh Lodhi of INC by a margin of 1,514 votes which was 1.16% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 31.93% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Rekha of BJSH won this seat beating Manjula Sheel Dewdiya of INC by a margin of 6,522 votes which was 6.7% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 28.64% in the seat.
