In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Jugul Kishor Bagri of BJP won in this seat defeating Kalpana Verma of INC by a margin of 17,421 which was 11.93% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 45.13% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Usha Choudhary of BSP emerged victorious in this seat beating Pushpraj Bagri of BJP by a margin of 4,109 votes which was 3.37% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BSP had a vote share of 34.91% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Jugul Kishor of BJP won this seat beating Usha Chawdhari of BSP by a margin of 3,851 votes which was 3.82% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BSP had a vote share of 31.65% in the seat.

Raigaon comprises of the following areas of Satna district in the Vindhya Pradesh region of Madhya Pradesh: Kothi, Raigaon and Satna-II RI Circles of Raghurajnagar Tehsil, Kothi (Nagar Panchayat) NPT, Singhpur RI Circle of Nagod Tehsil, 17 Akauna Sathiya, 18 Khaira, 19 Basudha, 20 Umarhat, 21 Nauwasta, 22 Chheenda, 23 Bachwai, 24 Sitpura, 25 Mauhari, 26 Damha, 27 Rerua Kalan, 34 Semarwara, 35 Dhaurhara, 36 Majhgawan and 57 Bara Pathar Patwari Circles of Nagod RI Circle of Nagod Tehsil.
