In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Bhoopendra Maravi (Bablu) of INC won in this seat defeating Omprakash Dhurwey of BJP by a margin of 33,960 which was 17.46% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 45.59% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Omprakash Dhurwey of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Ganga Bai of INC by a margin of 32,681 votes which was 18.22% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 42.81% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Ganga Bai Ureti of INC won this seat beating Chainsingh of BJP by a margin of 19,935 votes which was 14.39% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 37.13% in the seat.
