In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Karada Hukumsingh of INC won in this seat defeating Arun Bhimawad of BJP by a margin of 44,979 which was 24.43% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 48.85% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Arun Bhimawad of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Karada Hukum Singh of INC by a margin of 1,938 votes which was 1.18% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 46.74% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Karada Hukumsingh of INC won this seat beating J P Mandloi of BJP by a margin of 9,662 votes which was 7.02% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 49.81% in the seat.
