In 2013, Kedar Nath Shukla of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Kamaleshwar Prasad Dwivedi of INC by a margin of 2,360 votes which was 1.75% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 39.48% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Kedar Nath Shukla of BJP won this seat beating Krishna Kumar Singh (Bhanwar Sahab) of INC by a margin of 26,822 votes which was 23.85% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 39.3% in the seat.

Sidhi comprises of the following areas of Sidhi district in the Vindhya Pradesh region of Madhya Pradesh: Gopadbanas Tehsil, 27 Khori, 28 Amarpur, 29 Jhingajhar Chauhan, 30 Belha, 31 Sairpur, 32 Pokhadur, 33 Kubari and 35 Tendua Patwari Circles of Deogawan RI Circle of Sihawal Tehsil.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 911 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Sidhi is: 24°21'03.6"N 81°52'19.9"E.
