In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Kedar Nath Shukl of BJP won in this seat defeating Kamleshwar Prasad Dwivedi of INC by a margin of 19,986 which was 13.06% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 45.3% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Kedar Nath Shukla of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Kamaleshwar Prasad Dwivedi of INC by a margin of 2,360 votes which was 1.75% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 39.48% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Kedar Nath Shukla of BJP won this seat beating Krishna Kumar Singh (Bhanwar Sahab) of INC by a margin of 26,822 votes which was 23.85% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 39.3% in the seat.
