The geographic coordinates of Thandla is: 23°01'47.6"N 74°34'31.4"E. Thandla shares its borders with three other Assembly constituencies in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The other Madhya Pradesh Assembly constituencies adjacent to Thandla are: Jhabua, Petlawad, Sailana. This constituency shares an inter-state border with: Banswara district of Rajasthan, Dohod district of Gujarat.

Election results

In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Veer Singh of INC won in this seat defeating Kalsingh Bhabar of BJP by a margin of 31,151 which was 15.49% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 47.61% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Kalsingh Bhabar of IND emerged victorious in this seat beating Gendal Damor of INC by a margin of 5,116 votes which was 3.03% of the total votes polled in the constituency. IND had a vote share of 37.66% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Bhuriya Veersingh of INC won this seat beating Kalsingh Fulji Bhabhar of BJP by a margin of 8,102 votes which was 7.71% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 43.49% in the seat.
