Location

The geographic coordinates of Tikamgarh is: 24°38'43.8"N 78°57'12.6"E. Tikamgarh shares its borders with four other Assembly constituencies in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The other Madhya Pradesh Assembly constituencies adjacent to Tikamgarh are: Jatara, Prithvipur, Khargapur, Malhara. This constituency shares an inter-state border with: Lalitpur district of Uttar Pradesh.

Election results

In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Rakesh Giri of BJP won in this seat defeating Yadvendra Singh 'Jaggu Bhaiya' of INC by a margin of 4,175 which was 2.78% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 44.62% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, K K Shrivastava of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Yadvendra Singh of INC by a margin of 16,889 votes which was 12.48% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 42.83% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Yadvendra Singh of INC won this seat beating Uma Bharti of BJSH by a margin of 9,828 votes which was 9.67% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJSH had a vote share of 36.29% in the seat.
