The other Madhya Pradesh Assembly constituencies adjacent to Vidisha are: Sanchi, Basoda, Shamshabad. This constituency shares an inter-state border with: no other state.

Election results

In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Shashank Shrikrishan Bhargava of INC won in this seat defeating Mukesh Tandon of BJP by a margin of 15,454 which was 10.1% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 52.51% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Shivraj Singh Chauhan of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Shashank Bhargava of INC by a margin of 16,966 votes which was 12.53% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 54.51% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Raghavji of BJP won this seat beating Shashank Bhargav of INC by a margin of 12,336 votes which was 13.54% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 48.02% in the seat.
