In the 2018 Mizoram Assembly elections, Robert Romawia Royte of MNF won in this seat defeating B Lalchhanzova of IND by a margin of 1,492 which was 10.49% of the total votes cast for the seat. MNF had a vote share of 41.26% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Lalsawta of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Sailothanga Sailo of MNF by a margin of 177 votes which was 1.36% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 38.31% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Lalsawta of INC won this seat beating H Vanlalauva of MNF by a margin of 1,349 votes which was 11.75% of the total votes polled in the constituency. MNF had a vote share of 41.77% in the seat.
