In the 2019 Odisha Assembly elections, Dasarathi Gomango of INC won in this constituency beating Purnabasi Nayak of BJD by a margin of 2,354 votes which was 1.44% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Basanti Mallick of BJD was the winner in this seat beating Dasarathi Gamango of INC by a margin of 115 votes which was 0.08% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Chakradhara Paik of INC won this seat defeating Antarjami Gamanga of BJP by a margin of 917 votes which was 0.82% of the total votes polled for the seat.
