The geographic coordinates of Amber is: 27°07'53.4"N 75°40'57.0"E. Amber shares its borders with eight other Assembly constituencies in the state of Rajasthan. The other Rajasthan Assembly constituencies adjacent to Amber are: Shahpura, Chomu, Phulera, Jhotwara, Vidhyadhar Nagar, Hawa Mahal, Adarsh Nagar, Jamwa Ramgarh. This constituency shares an inter-state/international border with: no other state.

Election results

In the 2018 Rajasthan Assembly elections, Satish Poonia of BJP won in this seat defeating Prashant Sharma of INC by a margin of 13,276 which was 6.66% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 46.69% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Navin Pilania of NPEP emerged victorious in this seat beating Satish Poonia of BJP by a margin of 329 votes which was 0.2% of the total votes polled in the constituency. NPEP had a vote share of 31.22% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Ganga Sahay of INC won this seat beating Naveen Pilania of BJP by a margin of 3,797 votes which was 3.01% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 42.16% in the seat.
