In 2013, Heeralal Darangi of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Babu Lal Kharadi of BJP by a margin of 4,684 votes which was 2.93% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 42.13% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Babu Lal Kharadi of BJP won this seat beating Heera Lal of INC by a margin of 7,319 votes which was 5.86% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 37.37% in the seat.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 2,647 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Jhadol is: 24°19'31.8"N 73°19'31.8"E.

A total of four Assembly constituencies in the state of Rajasthan share borders with Jhadol constituency, which are: Pindwara-Abu, Gogunda, Udaipur Rural, Kherwara. This constituency shares an inter-state/international border with Sabarkantha district of Gujarat.
