In 2013, Banshidhar of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Giriraj of INC by a margin of 35,394 votes which was 23.61% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 54.59% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Banshidhar of BJP won this seat beating Mahadev Singh of INC by a margin of 9,898 votes which was 8.29% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 41.37% in the seat.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 819 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Khandela is: 25°59'47.4"N 76°44'51.0"E.
