In the 2018 Rajasthan Assembly elections, Ramlal Jat of INC won in this seat defeating Pradhyuman Singh (Happy Banna) of IND by a margin of 8,065 which was 4.23% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 31.26% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Kalu Lal Gujar of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Ram Pal Sharma of INC by a margin of 41,434 votes which was 25.6% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 56.72% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Ram Lal of INC won this seat beating Kalu Lal Gurjar of BJP by a margin of 2,316 votes which was 1.78% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 45.12% in the seat.

Assembly constituency no.178. Mandal comprises of the following areas of Bhilwara district in the South region of Rajasthan: Tehsil mandal, Tehsil Bhilwara (Partly) – (I) IlRC Danthal (II) IlRC mangrop (III) IlRC Suwana (IV) IlRC Bhilwara excluding Municipal Council, Bhilwara.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 1,674 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Mandal is: 25°27'32.4"N 74°26'18.2"E.
