In 2013, Kirtikumari of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Vivek Dhakar of INC by a margin of 18,540 votes which was 11.17% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 50.07% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Pradeep Kumar Singh of INC won this seat beating Kirti Kumari of BJP by a margin of 1,488 votes which was 1.14% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 27.26% in the seat.

Assembly constituency no.183. Mandalgarh comprises of the following areas of Bhilwara district in the South region of Rajasthan: Tehsil mandalgarh, Tehsil Bijoliya, Tehsil Kotri (Partly) – (i) IlRC Nandrai (ii) IlRC Badliyas.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 1,878 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Mandalgarh is: 25°15'18.0"N 75°06'05.4"E.

A total of four Assembly constituencies in the state of Rajasthan share borders with Mandalgarh constituency, which are: Begun, Jahazpur, Hindoli, Bundi. This constituency shares an inter-state/international border with Neemuch district of Madhya Pradesh.
