The geographic coordinates of Sapotra is: 26°16'28.2"N 76°50'54.6"E. Sapotra shares its borders with six other Assembly constituencies in the state of Rajasthan. The other Rajasthan Assembly constituencies adjacent to Sapotra are: Khandar, Sawai Madhopur, Bamanwas, Gangapur, Karauli, Baseri. This constituency shares an inter-state/international border with: Morena and Sheopur districts of Madhya Pradesh.

Election results

In the 2018 Rajasthan Assembly elections, Ramesh Chand Meena of INC won in this seat defeating Golma of BJP by a margin of 14,104 which was 8.26% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 44.74% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Ramesh of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Rishikesh of BJP by a margin of 6,232 votes which was 4.37% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 36.83% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Ramesh of BSP won this seat beating Mukhraj of INC by a margin of 8,329 votes which was 7.18% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 32.64% in the seat.
